Youth, School & Holiday Programs
Youth Programs
Every week during school terms we run our Youth Program that includes several classes to suit all ages and abilities. We keep class sizes small with kids coached by a member of our highly experienced coaching team. Our classes enable kids to improve both their individual physical and mental skills and their team building and communication skills in a supportive and challenging environment. Our Youth Program also has strong ties to Sport Climbing ACT/NSW and opportunities are provided to those wishing to participate in competitions at the state, national and international level. The class timetable is below.
The Youth Program is popular and space is limited. Kids need to be signed up near the beginning of a term and those currently enrolled in the Program get first priority for class selection in the next term. Please send an email to info@mountainstrongcbr.com to learn more about availability and pricing and to join our Youth Program mailing list.
At Mountain Strong we are passionate about the physical, mental and social benefits that climbing brings to kids of all ages. Climbing can teach children a lot about problem solving, communication, community building, patience, resilience and much more.
We encourage all families to let their kids try climbing by simply visiting the gym and climbing as a family or through our youth or school holiday program.

Schools Sport Program
Bouldering and rock climbing are growing in popularity as competitive sports and recreational pursuits, especially among kids. They are great for staying fit and active and often appeal to kids that are less enthusiastic about traditional team sports.
At Mountain Strong we host groups of students from schools across the ACT and parts of NSW as part of sport and outdoor education programs. We value both the sporting and recreational aspects of climbing and therefore we also offer additional instruction provided by experienced and qualified coaches to school groups on request.
At the end of every term Mountain Strong hosts the School Bouldering Championships where kids have the opportunity to apply the strength and skills they developed each term. Over 160 kids competed in our last School Bouldering Championships!
Please send an email to
info@mountainstrongcbr.com for more information, including costs, availability, and how to book with us. We look forward to welcoming more students to Mountain Strong!
